Why Turna?

One team, end to end

Your cargo does not change hands between companies. Quotation, loading, customs and delivery are handled by the same operations team.

Covered by CMR insurance

Our road transport is carried out under CMR insurance; additional cover is considered according to the nature of the cargo.

From a single pallet to heavy lift

We move one pallet just as readily as heavy-tonnage cargo needing special equipment. We work out the right solution with you.

Warehousing and value-added work

Storage in bonded and non-bonded warehouses, labelling and packing are handled within the same operation.

Multimodal organisation

Alongside road, we plan the air, sea and rail legs; we choose the right mode for your cargo together.

How a Shipment Works

Calculate your cargo volume

  1. Quotation

You send the cargo details; we quote against the route and equipment.

  2. Planning

Vehicle allocation, loading appointment and route planning are arranged.

  3. Collection

Cargo is collected from the loading address and transport documents are issued.

  4. Customs

Export and import customs formalities are followed through.

  5. Transit

The vehicle is monitored along the route and you are kept informed.

  6. Delivery

Cargo is delivered at the unloading address and proof of delivery is sent.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to prepare a quotation?

It depends on the route, the type of cargo and the equipment needed. Once you submit the form our operations team reviews your enquiry and comes back to you. Sharing the loading and delivery points, a description of the cargo and its dimensions speeds this up.

What is the difference between groupage and full-load transport?

In a full load the whole vehicle is dedicated to one consignment, so your cargo is not consolidated with others and is not transhipped. In groupage your shipment travels together with other cargo on the same route. Groupage is usually cheaper; a full load is faster and avoids transhipment.

How do I work out the volume of my cargo?

Enter the length, width, height and quantity of each package into the volume calculator. It accepts both centimetres and metres and shows the volume per row as well as the total. You can carry the result into the quote form with one click.

Is my cargo insured?

Our road transport is carried out under CMR insurance, which covers the carrier's liability within the terms of the international convention. Additional cover can be arranged on request depending on the nature and value of the cargo.

Which countries do you ship to?

We carry in both directions to all European countries, the Russian Federation, the Turkic Republics and the Middle East. If your destination is not on that list, get in touch — other destinations can be planned through air and sea organisation.

What is a bonded warehouse used for?

While goods sit in a bonded warehouse, the duty liability is deferred until they are released. This gives importers flexibility in cash flow and lets them draw the goods down in parts as they are needed.
